Five titles worth adding to your TBR pile
There are lots of great books coming out this fall, and whether you've switched to a Kindle or still prefer good old-fashioned paperbacks, these titles are shaping up to be must-reads:

Uncommon Type by Tom Hanks
Yes, I'm referring to Tom Hanks the actor who's making his debut as a short story writer. I've been browsing some reviews of this book, and it seems that readers appreciate his heartwarming style of writing. The thing with short stories is that it exposes you to an author's range and I'm pretty much ready to dive into Tom Hanks' narratives.
The Sun and Her Flowers by Rupi Kaur
With millions of social media followers, Rupi Kaur is a certified "instapoet" with poetry that opens up conversations on womanhood and diversity. Though she wasn't schooled traditionally on poetry, her language and illustration attract readers --- especially young ones.
Where the Past Begins: A Writer’s Memoir by Amy Tan
Amy Tan has written great works of fiction in the past, and as an occasional reader of her books, it would be interesting to get a glimpse of her personal life and how it impacts her fiction.
Origin by Dan Brown
Robert Langdon of “The Da Vinci Code” is back, and I am pretty excited to read this follow-up to the series. After the string of controversial books, I think his critics have been used to his spin on history, religion, and even science.
Manhattan Beach by Jennifer Egan
Here's another mystery novel from the Pulitzer Prize-winning author. This book, set at a crucial time in American history, is about a woman who will find clues that will lead her to learn more about the real reason for her father's disappearance many years ago.
Now that we have a list, the only thing we need is some time to kick back and relax with a great book. Hopefully, we'll have lots of that in the fall.
